Manitowoc at CONEXPO 2020: Here’s what to expect

Manitowoc Cranes is packed and ready for one of the world’s largest trade shows: CONEXPO 2020, in Las Vegas. Having exhibited at the event over the past three decades, the company’s display will be its most impressive to date: six new cranes will be unveiled, and several other models will make their first appearance in North America. In total 10 cranes will be shown, and with them, Manitowoc’s latest lifting technologies and crane features.

“CONEXPO is always an outstanding opportunity to connect and network with customers and partners,” said Barry Pennypacker, president and CEO of The Manitowoc Company, Inc. “That is why we’ve been preparing for months to bring the best and latest our company has to offer. We’re confident we’ll have a tremendous show.”

Pennypacker will speak in more detail about Manitowoc’s latest innovations and cranes at a press event at the company’s booth on Tuesday, March 10, at 10 a.m. Company representatives will also be available to speak with attendees.

The new cranes displayed at the company’s booth — some of which have already been commissioned by U.S. customers, embody Manitowoc’s approach to product development: to squarely meet customers’ needs, fast.

“Our company has focused on delivering innovation that keeps it at the top of the industry, year after year. Under The Manitowoc Way we are producing cranes that offer leading design and performance in their classes,” Pennypacker said. “Customers can literally see their input translated into the newer functionalities, and at CONEXPO 2020, we’ll start conversations that will lead to the next round of innovations.”

New cranes

In anticipation of CONEXPO 2020, Manitowoc Cranes announced three new cranes and one new range of products throughout February, one each from the Manitowoc, Grove, Potain and National Crane brands: the Manitowoc MLC150-1 crawler crane, the Grove GRT8120 rough-terrain crane, the Potain MRH 175 tower crane and the National Crane NBT40-2 series boom trucks, all making their debut at the show. They join the six other cranes that have been previously launched and making their North American debuts.

Furthermore, on Tuesday, March 10, Manitowoc will announce two more crane models that won’t be on display at the event, but are sure to be a hot topic among Manitowoc fans.

New booth location

Manitowoc will occupy booth # F6144 in the new Festival Lot near the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Sahara Avenue (Please note: the company previously occupied a space at the Gold Lot at the Las Vegas Convention Center – the space is closed for the 2020 show due to construction).
