German rental company Arbeitsbühnen Gagarin is the first Manitowoc customer in Germany to receive a Grove all-terrain crane with the latest carrier cab and is thrilled with both the modern exterior and spacious and ergonomic interior.
The first customer in Germany to take delivery of a Grove GMK3060L-1 with the new carrier cab was Arbeitsbühnen Gagarin. The Waldaschaff, Lower Franconia-based company specializes in the rental of mobile cranes, work platforms, forklift trucks and excavators and has been a Grove customer throughout its existence. In addition to the new GMK3060L-1, Arbeitsbühnen Gagarin also operates a GMK3055 and GMK4100L-1.
During the handover at Manitowoc factory in Wilhelmshaven, the Arbeitsbühnen Gagarin team was already impressed by the new carrier cab design.
“The new carrier cab makes the 60-tonner from Grove look like a big crane and when you sit inside you get a real feeling of space,” said Alex Gagarin, director and owner of Arbeitsbühnen Gagarin. “I noticed straight away that the operation of the GMK3060L-1 is extremely quiet compared to other cranes, so my crane operators will definitely arrive at the jobsite relaxed.”
Stefan Hufgart, crane operator at Arbeitsbühnen Gagarin, added: “The controls inside the new Grove carrier cab are clearly arranged and easy to reach. In our job, we spend a lot of time in the carrier cab – especially in a crane such as our new 60-tonner, which we will use as a taxi crane to drive from one jobsite to the next. With the new GMK3060L-1, I can get to the next jobsite in comfort.”
Spacious and comfortable
The new carrier cab has a modern design, which meets the latest crash-test requirements in Europe and is ECE R29-3 approved. Despite being compact in size like the crane itself – just 2.55 m wide – it offers a feeling of increased space.
All controls have been conveniently laid out and can be comfortably reached from the ergonomic driver’s seat, which comes with air suspension, armrests and seat heating as standard. Cupholders and USB charging ports for mobile phones and other electronic devices further contribute to a pleasant work environment.
“We are delighted that Arbeitsbühnen Gagarin has chosen another Grove mobile crane and we are grateful for their trust and good cooperation,” said Dieter Popp, sales manager at Manitowoc.
Arbeitsbühnen Gagarin specializes in the rental of mobile cranes, work platforms, forklift trucks and excavators and operates throughout Germany in the System Lift network. With more than 15 years of experience in the industry, the Gagarin team is at the customer’s right hand. Besides the headquarters in Waldaschaff, Lower Franconia, the company has a further facility in Hammersbach.
Arbeitsbühnen Gagarin has been a Grove customer ever since the company was founded.
